Deyellah Rhose est une auteur compositeur interprète issue du Sud de la capitale anglaise.

Drawing from jazz, pop, soul, blues & grooves, singer songwriter Deyellah Rhose's work is both uplifting and inspiring. Her debut album, Just Me, which she has written and produced, reflects her experience of growing up in London. With a strong and brassy voice, Rhose is often likened to Sade and Erykah Badu.

Rhose was born in south London to Jamaican parents. The seventh of eight children, Rhose left home at the age of 15 and eventually began to earn a living in the field of social and youth work.

She launched her singing career as an actress with the West End musical Bloodties in 1992, and was eventually cast in the lead role (Mrs. Worthing). Her mentors included Trevor Etienne (London's Burning) and Larrington Walker. With the crew, she performed in such venues as the Royal Opera House, the Soho Theatre, and Donmar Warehouse.

Rhose then went on to join the 15 piece band, Midnight Blue, as the lead singer. Together, they toured England, Scotland and Wales until the band split in 1999. She later worked and shared the stage with artists such as Don-e, All Saints, Junior Giscome, and Bruce Dickenson.
